Last night, after a long talk with my friend Sebastian, I decided that MyWoodenRobot should be more organized.  In the sense that I follow a schedule of topics I need to blog about on a certain day, month, week, etc.  By doing this, both you and me will know exactly what topics I will have to blog about that day and it will kind of force me to learn more instead of whenever I remember.

Here is what I have come up with so far:

How to Mondays – Every Monday, look forward to a how to post about anything from how to apply make up to how to change your car’s oil.

Crafty Wednesdays – Look for a craft related story every Wednesday including interviews, craft instrutions, videos, etc.

Food Fridays – Fridays from now on will have at least one post dedicated to recipes, food, cooking tips, etc.

Bringing Domestic Back Challenge – New challenges will be posted every Friday (here and on Apt310G) to make your life better and more handmade.  Frequent participants will recieve prizes!

Every Month (beginning with February) will have a theme that is loosely followed throughout the month.  February’s theme, keep with the spirit of Valentine’s Day, will be about Relationships.  Not just romantic ones but friendships too!

Of course these are more like a guideline so you won’t only find articles related to that or restricted to the topics on those days or months.  Same MyWoodenRobot with a little more added.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m going on a mini vacation to San Diego for 3 days and two nights with Sergio and my two friends, Jen and Seb.  We’ll be visiting the zoo there (I’m so excited!) and just relaxing and exploring the city.  Packing is something that I always dread and I’m the kind of person that ALWAYS forgets something essential like a toothbrush or underwear.  So, I made this checklist of all the things I could possibly think of that I’m going to need.  I’m sure I’m forgetting something very obvious, but I made the checklist available to you.

For the moment, it’s a .doc file, but I’m going to try and get it for you on a .pdf once I figure that out.  😀

You can see it by clicking the link below:

So, I won’t be seeing you until Thursday, but I’ll be sure to post lots of pictures and have fun stories to tell you.  Bye!

’08 is going to be a new year for me. A complete new chapter in my life. I don’t know how or what made me decide it specifically, but I’m going to change my life for the better. I’m going to strive for good grades, finish projects, and just try harder.

So last night, in an attempt to learn yet another book binding or book making technique, I made this little notebook so I can keep all my week’s to do lists in here. It’s Step 1 in my new life: Organization.

How can one expect to suddenly accomplish things when that person never did in the past? That’s when I realized that being spontaneous about my plans (everything from going out to accomplishing tasks or goals) was never going to work. How could I remember them or keep them by my side, always looking at me, waiting to be taken care of…

So me and Sergio are now going to keep a weekly calendar or a blank notebook by our sides everyday in order to remind us of tasks like homework, grocery shopping lists, or finally changing our car’s oil.
